Powerlifting existed in T&T long before the federation but it was only when Vasant Saith arrived on the scene that lifters started travelling to competitions outside of the country. In 2005 Saith went to NAPF championships held in Miami where he won Silver in the 75kg weight class.
In 2007 Saith took Bronze in his weight class at NAPF championships held at while Carlos Greene took Silver. In that same year Saith won Gold in his weight class at the Caribbean Championships

This federation needs to start making the sport about more than Adrian Brown. Powerlifting is growing and going places and we need to get it out there via the media houses.
